ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus is provided to measure respiration airflow and display it together with an optimized respiration airflow on a display device with respect to time. The apparatus comprises a transducer arranged to measure the respiration airflow and convert it into an electrical signal. The signal is sampled and the samples are stored in a memory. Another memory stores samples corresponding to the optimized respiration airflow, and a reading circuit reads the samples from the two memories in sequence. A converter circuit connects the samples from the reading circuit into signals suitable for applying to the display device. The apparatus is useful in a "biofeedback" system.
