ABSTRACT Apparatus for restoring drill buttons or like objects includes a support body (14) and structure (22) for positioning a drive shaft (19a) rotatable about its axis (20). Bearing means (50) secures the structure (22) to the support body (14) for rotation about a second axis (24) at an angle to the first axis (20). The two axes (20, 24) intersect at the location of a grinding burr (75) mounted to the shaft (19a) for restoring a button in engagement with the burr. A transmission (60, 58) is provided for imparting rotational drive to the shaft positioning structure (22) so that the first axis (20) revolves about the second axis (24).
