This invention relates to an airspring to receive an impact shock and smooth out or absorb said shock. More particularly, this invention includes an airspring having an inflatable flexible load supporting member retained inside a structure with at least one opening to allow said inflatable member to expand to contact a load imparting element and a means to control inflation of said member to permit the inflated member to support the imparted load.
