Cryptographic apparatus and means are disclosed for each of three types of participants in an electronic system for privacy-protected transfer of certified infor- mation. This invention reveals protocols that improve efficiency and security in such systems, and allows a variety of useful extensions in functionality without dif- ficulty. This is achieved by a restrictive blind signature protocol in combination with a testing protocol. The respective blind signature protocol allows the certify- ing party to encode data into certified information that it provides to a receiving party, such that it cannot be altered or modified by the receiving party. The testing protocol enables parties to prove a variety of character- istics about the encoded data in their certified informa- tion.

Le protocole de signature cachée à accès limité permet au correpondant certificateur de coder des données sous forme d'informations certifiées qu'il fait parvenir à un correspondant récepteur de telle manière que ce dernier ne puisse les modifier. Le protocole de contrôle permet aux correspondants de vérifier les différentes caractéristiques des données codées comprises dans leurs informations certifiées.
