A retainer (11) for use with a body (16) of eviscerated fowl having first and second legs (17) with respective hocks (18). The retainer includes a unitary substantially planar thin plastic member (21) which mounts about the hocks. The thin plastic member has an outer portion (22) defining an opening (26) which is elongated and of sufficient size to receive the legs. A plurality of protuberances (31) integral with the outer portion extend inwardly into the opening for engaging the legs so as to hold the legs in a position extending perpendicular to the thin plastic member substantially parallel to each other when the thin plastic member is mounted about the hocks.

Dispositif de retenue (11) s'utilisant avec le corps (16) d'une volaille éviscérée possédant une première et une deuxième pattes (17) comportant des jarrets respectifs (18). Ce dispositif de retenue comprend un élément unique sensiblement plat en plastique mince (21) qu'on fixe autour des jarrets. Cet élément en plastique mince possède une partie extérieure (22) définissant une ouverture et présentant une dimension suffisante pour loger les pattes.
