The invention relates to a holding net comprising a net component or a net weave (3) made of several pluralities of threads and an edge which is at least partially formed by an edge girth (13, 15). In order to produce said retaining net (1) in a technically simple manner and to fashion it in such a manner that said retaining net has the required characteristics and fulfils the desired aesthetic criteria, the edge of the retaining net (1) has an at least partially formed edge girth (13, 15) made of the same material as the net component or net weave (3) and the ends of the pluralities of threads associated with said girth are weaved into said girth.

Un filet de retenue présente un élément filet ou une tresse (3) qui est constitué(e) de nappes présentant respectivement plusieurs écheveaux et disposées de façon oblique les unes par rapport aux autres, et un bord qui est constitué au moins partiellement d'une sangle (13, 15). L'invention vise à produire de façon économique un tel filet de retenue (1) qui possède néanmoins les propriétés correspondant aux profils d'exigences concernés tout en satisfaisant aux exigences esthétiques. A cet effet, la sangle (13, 15) constituant au moins en partie le bord du filet de retenue (1) est réalisée dans le même matériau que l'élément filet ou la tresse (3) et les extrémités d'écheveaux des nappes, affectées à la sangle, sont tissées avec cette sangle.
