ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A clip for releasable attachment to a stud having a screw thread or annular ribs comprises a mount, which is elliptical in cross-section and has transverse flanges on its long sides to engage the thread or ribs of the stud. Squeezing the mount by applying pressure onto the ends of its major axis forces the flanges apart and releases the clip. Such a deformation of the mount is checked by abutments at opposite ends of its major axis.
