A retaining wall assembly is provided herein having a wall face comprised of a plurality of engaging face plates which interlock with tie-backs. In each face plate, at least two sides are provided with locking recesses which are displaced rearwardly from the front face. Each tie-back has an elongated base portion and an integral interlocking flange arranged at one of the body. Through its interlocking flanges, each tie-back interlocks with four adjacent side blocks. The tie-backs enhance the stability of the retaining wall assembly. The face plates are arranged side-by-side in a plurality of courses. The face plates of the top course are offset from the face plates of the bottom course. The tie-backs, which are arranged between the top and bottom courses, interlock with each bottom face placed in the bottom course with at least two face plates in the top course.

Cette invention concerne un mur de soutènement dont une des faces comprend une série de plaques d'ancrage auxquelles se verrouillent des tirants d'ancrage. Chaque plaque d'ancrage comporte dans au moins un côté des encoches de fixation en retrait de la face avant. Chaque tirant d'ancrage présente une portion de base allongée et un flasque de verrouillage intégré à une extrémité. Le flasque de chaque tirant d'ancrage s'imbrique dans quatre blocs adjacents. Lesdits tirants rehaussent la stabilité du mur de soutènement. Les plaques d'ancrage sont disposées côte à côte sur plusieurs rangs. Celles du rang supérieur sont décalées par rapport à celles du rang inférieur. Les tirants d'ancrage disposés entre les rangs supérieur et inférieur s'ancrent aux plaques d'ancrage du rang inférieur et à au moins deux plaques d'ancrage du rang supérieur.
