ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A container for dispensing syrup in a post-mix beverage dispenser including a flow rate control tube with a first open end vented to the atmosphere through the container bottom and a second open end of the tube disposed at a selected distance above a discharge opening of the container. The second open end of the container is retained in a socket laterally offset from the discharge opening, so that the container may be filled with syrup through the discharge opening without interference from the second open end of the tube.
