Abstract of the Disclosure A telescopable, retractable landing net for fish comprises a handle having a hollow interior and an open forward end, the handle having a slot extending along a substantial portion of its length; a slide block of external size and shape to fit within the hollow handle, the slide block being slidable therewithin with a control handle projecting from the slide block through the slot to the exterior of the hollow handle; a resilient net supporting hoop formed of a flexible material and con- nected to the forward end of the slide block by a hinge so that the hoop can slide within the hollow of the handle, the hoop having having a second hinge spaced approximately 180° from the first hinge, and further having a series of net-supporting hooks spaced solely along the interior periphery thereof; and a net attached to the net-supporting hooks.
