This invention relates to a retractable pen having a device to lock-in the point of the pen, when in extended position for writing. The pen comprises an upper tubular portion, and a lower tubular portion rotatably mounted to the upper tubular portion. The upper tubular portion has, adjacent to the lower tubular portion, a partition defin- ing in the lower tubular portion, a helicoid path terminat- ing in its lowermost surface into an anchor-plate. The lower tubular portion has mounted therein an ink tube in a receiv- ing a member for positioning that ink tube. That member has a top, and is slidably mounted to the inner wall of the lower tubular portion in order to slide the other end of the ink tube, in and out of a truncated conic end, and that member at its top, is provided with a runner engaging the helicoid path and the anchor-plate, and be releasably held therewith. That pen is preferably provided with and a gas- lighter having child-proof, security features.
