A retractable wrench tool includes a tube having an open end through which a rod is slidably received. A hole and a slot are respectively defined through the tube. The rod has a function end connected thereto and a plurality of dents so that a first bead is received in the hole and one of the dents. A sleeve is slidably mounted to the tube and retains the first bead. A groove is defined in the outer periphery of the rod and a second bead is received in the slot and the groove. The second bead is retained by the sleeve.
