A retrofit second packing chamber for quarter-turn valves that permits existing valves to be modified so as to meet modern emission standards without requiring replacement of the valves, and which can be assembled to existing valves in a simple, efficient manner at reasonable cost. The retrofit second packing chamber comprises an assembly which defines a second packing chamber to be assembled to the existing first packing chamber of a valve in series therewith so as to substantially increase the protection against undesired emissions from the valve.
La présente invention a pour objet une deuxième boîte à garniture de rattrapage pour appareils de robinetterie quart de tour, la deuxième boîte à garniture en question permettant de modifier les appareils de robinetterie existants en vue de les rendre conformes aux normes d'émission modernes et ainsi éviter la nécessité d'en effectuer le remplacement. Les boîtes à garniture de rattrapage peuvent être montées simplement, efficacement et à un coût raisonnable. Les boîtes à garniture de rattrapage sont destinées au montage en série avec les boîtes à garniture existantes afin d'accroître la protection contre les émissions nocives de l'appareil.
