The invention relates to a viral vector capable of integrating into a host genome and expressing multiple exogenous proteins which has a single promoter and is transcribed into a single polycistronic mRNA by means of internal ribosome entry sites between DNA sequences coding for discrete proteins instead of internal promoters between the DNA sequences.
