The purpose of the invention is to be used as a highlighting paper in the hairdressing industry. Highlighting papers are used by hairdressers for a process known as highlighting wherein strands of hair are coloured with a colour formulation and kept divided from the uncoloured hair by these highlighting papers. The most popular material used for highlighting is aluminum foil. Aluminum foil is a great insulator of heat however the foil is very heavy and tends to drag and pull away from the hair causing demarcation lines in the hair moreover aluminum foil is not reusable so that every time a head of hair is finished being highlighted all of the dozens of papers are thrown away and over the duration of many processes this can add up to hundreds and hundreds of papers each week. The invention will eliminate these two problems while allowing for all of the positive properties of aluminum foil. The invention is a material comprised of a thin sheet of aluminum foil being laminated with a poly substance being either polyurethane, polyester or polypropylene. These three substances are all substantially lighter than aluminum foil since only a small amount of aluminum foil is needed to maintain the heat retaining qualities of the foil so when laminated with one of the poly substances the papers become noticeably lighter than aluminum foil thus, the invention will not weigh down on or drag down on the hair causing lines of demarcation like the foil. The invention is reusable unlike foil because the three poly substances when laminated with aluminum foil can be rinsed and wiped clean of any colour formula and used again, this factor would eliminate an uncountable amount of waste produced by each stylist in a salon and save a lot of money for the salon and it's hairstylists.
