A reverse cantilever spring clip (10) for providing intimate thermal contact between a heat sink (20) and a heat generating electrical component (18) such as an integrated circuit (IC). The spring clip (10) includes a spring member (14) and a retention member (12). The retention member (12) has one or more legs (22) with a securing member (24) affixed to an outer end of the legs (22). The legs (22) are configured for engaging a heat sink (20) and a circuit board (16) to which the IC (18) is mounted so that the heat sink (20) is positioned dirctly over the circuit board (16). The securing member (24) maintains contact between the IC (18) and heat sink (20).

L'invention concerne une pince à ressort (10) en porte-à-faux inverse, destinée à établir un contact thermique intime entre un puits de chaleur (20) et un composant électrique (18) produisant de la chaleur, tel qu'un circuit intégré (IC). La pince à ressort (10) comprend un élément de ressort (14) et un élément de retenue (12).
