Method and apparatus for drilling a directional or horizontal wellbore in a hydrocarbon formation using concentric drill string having an inner pipe (6) and an outer pipe (12) defining an annulus (20) there between. A bottomhole assembly (2) comprising a directional drilling means such as an air hammer or a rotary drill bit (22) and driving system is provide at the lower end of the concentric drill string and drilling medium (76) is delivered through the annulus (20) or inner pipe (16) for operating the directional drilling means to form a borehole. Exhaust drilling medium, drilling cutting and hydrocarbon are removed from the wellbore by extracting the exhaust drilling medium, drilling cutting and hydrocarbon through the other of the annulus or inner pipe.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de forage d'un puits directionnel ou horizontal dans une formation d'hydrocarbures utilisant un train de tiges de forage concentrique ayant un tubage interne (6) et un tubage externe (12) définissant un espace annulaire (20) intermédiaire. Un ensemble (2) de fond de puits, comprenant des moyens de forage directionnels, notamment un marteau pneumatique ou un outil de forage rotatif (22), et un système d'entraînement, se trouve sur l'extrémité inférieure du train de tiges de forage concentrique et un support de forage (76) est acheminé dans l'espace annulaire (20) ou le tubage interne en vue de la mise en route des moyens de forage directionnels afin de percer un puits. Le milieu à évacuer, les débris du forage et les hydrocarbures sont retirés du puits par extraction à travers l'autre espace annulaire ou tubage interne.
