ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A reverse flow cooled dynamoelectric machine is provided with an annular baffle disposed in the gap thereof and spaced from stator core laminations at the end region for improving the cooling of these laminations. The baffle prevents heated gas flow from the end turn region of the rotor and gas from the cooling passages in the stator assembly from impinging in the gap.
