ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The filter of the present invention is composed of a plurality of filter elements with the novelty residing in the arrangement of the filter elements to provide for substantial fluid flow from a small pore size element into a large pore size element. Such a fluid flow sequence is the reverse of the usual sequence of fluid flow through a filter. Preferably the fluid flows alternately a number of times through large and small pore filter elements such as fluid flowing through large pores, small pores, large pores and than finally exiting through small pores.
