The present invention relates to a method for mapping traits in organisms, in particular in plants. The method according to the present invention comprises a) providing a population of SDR-O organisms, in particular plants, that each arise from one member of a population of unreduced cells resulting from second division restitution, in particular a population of unreduced spores; b) producing SDR-I progeny populations of each of these SDR-O organisms; c) phenotyping the SDR-I progeny populations to identify segregating traits within each SDR-I progeny population; d) if segregating progeny is present in a SDR-I progeny population genotyping the corresponding SDR-O organism and comparing the genotype thereof with the genotype of the other SDR-O organisms to identify heterozygous chromosomal regions associated with the occurrence of the segregating trait identified in the said SDR-I progeny population.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de mettre en correspondance des traits dans des organismes, en particulier dans des plantes. Le procédé de l'invention consiste: a) à fournir une population d'organismes SDR-O, en particulier, de plantes, provenant d'un membre d'une population de cellules non réduites résultant d'une seconde restitution de division, en particulier, une population de spores non réduits; b) à produire des populations de descendance SDR-I de chacun des organismes SDR-O; c) phénotyper les populations de descendance SDR-I afin d'identifier des traits de ségrégation dans chaque population SDR-I; d) à génotyper, lorsqu'une descendance de ségrégation est présente dans une population de descendance SDR-I, l'organisme SDR-O correspondant et à comparer son génotype avec le génotype des autres organismes SDR-O afin d'identifier des régions chromosomales hétérozygotes associées à l'occurrence d'un trait ségrégation identifié dans la population de descendance SDR-I.
