A reversible shelf apparatus for use in a cupboard comprises a shelf having an outer peripheral edge. Vertical legs elevate the shelf means above a substantially horizontal receiving surface. There is also raised rim disposed adjacent a first portion of the outer peripheral edge of the shelf, for precluding objects disposed on the shelf from unwantedly sliding off the shelf. The raised rim is substantially absent adjacent a second portion of the outer peripheral edge of the shelf, for permitting objects disposed on the shelf to slide off the shelf.
