REVOLVING APPLICATOR DEVICE Abstract of the Disclosure A revolving applicator device for sandblasting the interior of sewer pipes and the like comprises a hose running freely through the centre of a hollow pipe in the form of a rotating arm. Each end of the hose is held securely within the hollow pipe by means of bearings or other similar mech- anism. One end is attached to a source of material (sand or shotcrete) while a nozzle is attached to the other end. One end of the hollow pipe or rotating arm is mounted to cylin- der which rotates about a fixed axle thereby allowing the arm to freely rotate around the axle also. The hollow pipe or rotating arm is formed in an arc so that as it rotates the nozzle end covers a wider circle than the end attached to the axle. A gear attached to a pneumatic motor by means of a chain drives a cylinder which in turn is attached to and turns the rotating arm. As the arm rotates, the hose does not twist but simply bends. In this way, the nozzle can be automati- cally rotated through 360 degree motion without causing any torsion in the hose.
