A description is given of a phase-change optical data storage medium (20) having a recording stack (2) with a recording layer (6) and a metal reflective layer (3) comprising at least one transparent layer (4, 8) of the material indium tin oxide (ITO). Use of an ITO layer (4, 8) in the recording stack (2) improves the cooling behavior of the recording layer (6) combined with good optical contrast. Thus, higher possible data rates are achieved.

L'invention porte sur un support d'enregistrement optique (20) à changement de phase comportant une pile (2) d'enregistrement présentant une couche d'enregistrement (6) et une couche métallique réfléchissante (3) comprenant au moins une couche transparente (4, 8) d'oxyde d'indium/étain (ITO). L'utilisation d'une couche d'ITO (4, 8) dans la pile (2) d'enregistrement améliore le processus de refroidissement de la couche d'enregistrement (6) tout en donnant un bon contraste optique, ce qui permet d'atteindre le débit le plus élevé possible.
