The present invention relates to a wireless home automation system having a controller for controlling a broad variety of functions via two ways communication with a plurality of devices. More specifically, the invention relates to systems having two or more controllers for controlling devices, wherein information related to the system can be shared between controllers, e.g. by updating a second controller with the newly learned information of a first controller, or by replicating a controller by making a second controller a complete copy of a first controller. The information can be shared by, in a first controller, generating and transmitting signals comprising device identifiers of devices controlled by the first controller, receiving said signals at a second controller, and storing said device identifiers in an organized data structure in a memory of the second controller. This function proves advantageous when new controllers are introduced in the system or if a controller is lost, worn out, or destroyed. Image
La présente invention concerne un système domotique sans fil comprenant un contrôleur destiné à commander une grande variété de fonctions par communication bidirectionnelle avec une pluralité de dispositifs. En particulier, l'invention se rapporte à des systèmes comprenant au moins deux contrôleurs destinés à commander des dispositifs, les informations liées au système pouvant être partagées entre les contrôleurs, par exemple par actualisation d'un second contrôleur au moyen des nouvelles informations obtenues par un premier contrôleur, ou par duplication des contrôleurs lorsqu'un second contrôleur devient la copie exacte d'un premier contrôleur. Le partage d'informations peut s'effectuer, dans un premier contrôleur, par production et transmission de signaux comprenant des identificateurs de dispositif correspondant aux dispositifs commandés par le premier contrôleur, réception desdits signaux par le second contrôleur, et stockage des identificateurs de dispositif dans une structure de données organisée dans la mémoire du second contrôleur. La fonction précitée est avantageuse lors de l'introduction de nouveaux contrôleurs dans le système ou en cas de perte, usure ou destruction d'un contrôleur.
