An electrical signal filter defined by a block of dielectric material with top, bottom, and side surfaces, and through-holes extending between the top and bottom surfaces. In one embodiment, a plurality of walls extend outwardly from the top surface to define a peripheral rim and filter cavity. A pattern of metallized and unmetallized areas is defined on selected surfaces of the block including an area of metallization covering a portion of the top surface and at least one of the walls to define at least one input/output electrode on the wall. In one embodiment, a pair of input/output electrodes are formed on a pair of posts defined on one of the walls and the filter is adapted for mounting to a printed circuit board with the rim of the walls against the board and the posts coupled to respective input/output pads on the board.
L'invention concerne un filtre de signal électrique défini par un bloc de matériau diélectrique avec des surfaces supérieure, inférieure, et latérales, et des trous débouchants s'étendant entre les surfaces supérieure et inférieure. Dans un mode de réalisation, une pluralité de parois s'étend vers l'extérieur depuis la surface supérieure pour définir un bord périphérique et une cavité de filtre. Un motif de zones métallisées et non métallisées est défini sur des surfaces sélectionnées du bloc comprenant une zone de métallisation couvrant une partie de la surface supérieure et au moins l'une des parois pour définir au moins une électrode d'entrée/sortie sur la paroi. Dans un mode de réalisation, une paire d'électrodes d'entrée/sortie est formée sur une paire de montants définis sur l'une des parois et le filtre est adapté pour le montage sur une carte de circuit imprimé, le bord des parois étant contre la carte et les montants étant couplés aux pastilles d'entrée/sortie respectives sur la carte.
