ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The bob of a rheometer has a concentric bore which co-operates with a stationary member disposed in the bore to form a stator-and-rotor pump mechanism utilizing the rotation of the bob to circulate the measured sample through a passage in the bob and through the measuring gap of the rheometer.
