RIB JOINT STRUCTURE FOR AN UMBRELLA Abstract of the Disclosure An improved joint structure for an umbrella rib linkage, the rib linkage comprising an inner rib, an inner linking spoke and a middle rib all hingedly connected to a middle joint. The inner rib is a U-shaped strut with its slot facing upward, and the outer end of the inner support rib is hingedly con- nected to the middle joint so it seats on top of the inner linking spoke, or against the pin by which the inner linking spoke is connected to the middle joint, to enhance rib linkage stability when the umbrella is erected.
