ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to an improved type of rigging screw, especially adapted for sailing yachts, the three parts of which have the same largest cross-section, which is non- circular and preferably square, provided with a locking and covering tube having roughly the same inner cross-section as said largest cross-section and a smooth outer surface adapted to slide along a rigging wire or rod attached to the rigging screw down on the same so as to cover it completely, locking the clevis pins and the aligned three rigging screw parts in a fixed position. The rigging screw obviates the use of cotter pins or similar means for keeping clevis pins in place; a preferred rigging screw has an essentially tubu?ar intermediary part with threads inside ?d outside the tube running in opposite directions. Means are also provided for the attachment of rod rigging to a modified embodiment of the rigging screw.
