A wound dressing for a body member including a sealed casing (10) formed of a flexible, air impermeable material configured and dimensioned to accommodate and enclose a body member, a compactible filler material (17) disposed in the interior of the casing, and a valve (16) communicating with the interior of the casing for evacuating air therefrom, whereupon the filler material interengages to combine with the casing to form a rigid structure conforming to a body member.
L'invention concerne un pansement pour blessure destiné à être utilisé sur une partie du corps, comprenant un boîtier hermétique formé d'un matériau flexible imperméable à l'air, d'une configuration et d'une dimension adaptées pour recevoir et loger une partie du corps, un matériau de remplissage compactable disposé à l'intérieur du boîtier, et une valve communiquant avec l'intérieur du boîtier pour en évacuer l'air, le matériau de remplissage étant combiné au boîtier pour former une structure rigide s'adaptant à la partie du corps.
