Process for the preparation of open-celled rigid polyurethane foams by reacting an organic polyisocyanate with an isocyanate-reactive material in the presence of a blowing promotor which is an isocyanate-reactive cyclic carbonate or cyclic urea, an insoluble organic liquid, a metal salt catalyst and also a primary diol.

On décrit un procédé de préparation de mousses rigides de polyuréthane à alvéoles ouvertes, consistant à faire réagir un polyisocyanate organique avec un matériau réagissant à l'isocyanate, en présence d'un promoteur de gonflement de mousses, lequel est un carbonate cyclique ou une urée cyclique, réagissant à l'isocyanate, ainsi qu'en présence d'un liquide organique insoluble, d'un catalyseur à base de sel métallique et d'un diol primaire.
