Disclosed is a process for the preparation of a compound of the general formula (III): (see formula III) wherein: R1 represents a halogen atom or a C1-10-alkyl group; R2 represents a halogen atom; Y represents a leaving group or a hydroxy group; and n is an integer from 0 to 3, comprising reacting a compound of the general formula (VI): (see formula VI) wherein: R1 and n are as defined above; and R" represents H, with a halogenating agent. Also disclosed is a compound of formula (IIIA): (see formula IIIA) wherein R1 represents an alkyl group.
