ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A rivet fastening consists of a sleeve (1) and a shank (2) having a bolt-shaped shaft (3) and a head section (4) fitted or formed on it which has a larger diameter than that of the shaft (3). The sleeve (1) has a female thread (5) and the shaft (3) of the shank (2) a corresponding male thread (6). At the other end of the shank (2) is a drill section (8) and the direction of drilling and that for tightening the shank (2) are the same. Guide break lines (17) are provided at the end opposite the bearing shoulder (7) of the sleeve (1).
