A rock drill bit for percussive drilling comprising a head portion (1) with a front surface which has a number of inserts (7) provided in a peripheral ring, and a number of front inserts (9, 10) placed radially inside the peripheral inserts. At least a first surface portion (4) is provided on the front surface, which is recessed at a certain depth in relation to a surrounding second surface portion (5). One or more channels (12) for feed of flush medium to cool inserts and convey away drill cuttings between the drill bit and a bore wall terminates in the front surface. The second surface portion (5) is a part of an endless land portion which delimits and wholly surrounds the recessed space in connection to the first surface portion (4) in order to always retain a cushion of flush medium in this space for the purpose of flushing in a versatile manner and cooling said from inserts (9, 10). The present invention also relates to a rock-drilling tool for percussive drilling.
Forêt à pierre pour forage par percussion, comprenant une partie constituant la tête (1) comportant une face antérieure pourvue d'un certain nombre de plaquettes (7) installées sur une zone circulaire périphérique et un certain nombre de plaquettes antérieures (9, 10) installées dans le sens radial à l'intérieur des plaquettes périphériques. Au minimum une première partie de la surface (4) de la face antérieure accuse un retrait d'une certaine profondeur par rapport à la deuxième partie de surface qui l'entoure (5). Un ou plusieurs canaux (12) débouchent sur la face antérieure; ces canaux ayant pour fonction d'amener le milieu de rinçage destiné à refroidir les plaquettes et à évacuer les déblais de forage qui se trouvent entre le forêt et la paroi du trou. La deuxième partie de surface (5) fait partie intégrante d'un secteur sans discontinuité qui délimite et entoure totalement l'espace en retrait par rapport à la première partie de surface (4), de manière à préserver constamment un coussin de milieu de rinçage dans cet espace, ce qui permet de procéder à un rinçage de manière souple et de refroidir les plaquettes de la face antérieure (9, 10). La présente invention porte également sur un outil de forage de la pierre par percussion.
