Abstract The clamping device is designed to hold a two piece fishing rod when it is broken down.In this invention the idea is to grasp the tip and base of the shafts and to hold them firmly,compactly,and to keep the line and rod from getting tangled.To hold the rod pieces firmly each clamp is notched on each side of itself in one of four different diameters.Which is needed because of the reduction in diameter of the shafts from base to tip.It is also made of rubber so it can grasp firmly the various diameters of rods made by different companies,while insuring that no scratching occurs to the rod shafts.
