ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved roll holding fixture is provided herein. It includes a base securable to the surface; a pair of support members carried by the base and spaced apart to receive the ends of the roll therebetween; a pair of opposed support elements; pivot means connecting each of the support elements to a respective one of the pair of support members for pivotal rotation between an inwardly extending normal first position to be received within the roll to support the roll along a support axis extending between the support members, and a separable second position for receiving the ends of the roll therebetween in response to urging of the roll to move therebetween; stop means for receiving the pair of support elements thereagainst in the first position, the first position being substantially horizontally; a recess in each of the pair of support members for receiving the respective one of the pair of support elements in the second position; and biasing means normally urging the pair of support elements against the stop means.
