In a device for holding and presenting baitfish, it is known to have a plastic head holder which slides over the head of the baitfish. The baitfish is secured into the device using a toothpick or a plastic pin, which is pushed sideways through the device and the bait's head. There is a hole near the front of the plastic device where the fishing line enters and another hole at the rear of the plastic head where the line exits and hooks are attached. Hooks are set into the baitfish and pulled tight producing a curve which then causes the rolling action which attracts and catches fish. In this invention, a maleable wire is attached to a plastic head holder such that it extends horizontally in a manner which allows the end of the wire to be inserted into the baitfish and guided lengthwise through its entirety with the head of the baitfish sliding finally into the plastic head holder. This wire within the baitfish allows the fisherman to manipulate the baitfish's body, obtaining a number of different rolling patterns. This invention may have varying lengths of wires depending upon the desired size and type of baitfish.
