ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A roll-on dispenser having an applicator ball, which dispenser is provided with a porous membrane that coacts with the ball to regulate the dispension of controlled amounts of powders or fluids. The amount of material dis- pensed is dependent upon the porosity of the membrane and the porosity of the membrane is dependent upon the degree of its deformation by the ball upon operation of the dis- penser.
