A roll-over airbag (10) having an upper fabric panel (15) and a lower fabric panel perimetrically bonded to the upper panel (15). The perimetric joint is reinforced with a lap joint (30) defining a reinforced interior seal. In order to limit the expanded height and/or thickness of the airbag (10) at least one tether member (40) is disposed within the airbag (10) Also a through-opening is defined by a passageway (85) to permit passage of a seat belt through the airbag (10) while stored in a deflated condition. The passageway (85) is defined by a pleated channel member. The pleats allow the channel member to fold flat when the airbag (10) is deflated and allows substantially uniform expansion of the airbag during inflation.
La présente invention concerne un airbag de protection contre les tonneaux (10) comportant un panneau supérieur en tissu (15) et un panneau inférieur en tissu relié au périmètre du panneau supérieur (15). Le joint périmétrique est renforcé par un joint chevauché (30) définissant un joint d'étanchéité intérieur renforcé. Afin de limiter le poids et/ou l'épaisseur de l'airbag (10) dilaté, au moins un organe d'attache (40) est placé à l'intérieur de ce dernier. Une ouverture de part en part est également définie par un passage (85) permettant à une ceinture de sécurité de traverser l'airbag (10) alors que celui-ci est stocké en position non gonflée. Le passage (85) est défini par un élément de canal plissé. Les plis permettent à l'élément canal de se replier à plat lorsque l'airbag (10) se trouve en position non gonflée, tout en permettant une dilatation sensiblement uniforme de ce dernier au cours du gonflage.
