The invention relates to a roll stand for hot- or cold-rolling rolled strips consisting of different materials, comprising working rolls, support rolls and optionally, intermediate rolls arranged in pairs. The rolls (6) of at least one pair can be axially displaced towards both sides and have a suitable contour for compensating rolling defects. The disadvantages of rolls which are axially displaced by means of displaceable chocks are avoided since each displaceable roll (6) has at least one hydrodynamic oil film bearing (3) into which the hydraulic unit (17) responsible for effecting the axial displacement is integrated.

L'invention concerne une cage de laminoir destinée au laminage à chaud ou a froid de bandes de différents matériaux. Cette cage de laminoir comprend des paires de cylindres de travail, de cylindres d'appui et éventuellement de cylindres intermédiaires. Les cylindres (6), au moins d'une paire, peuvent être déplacés axialement des deux côtés et ont un profil approprié à la compensation des défauts de laminage. Pour remédier aux inconvénients des cylindres (6) déplacés axialement par des empoises, chaque cylindre mobile (6) possède au moins un palier hydrodynamique à film d'huile (3) abritant une unité hydraulique (17) qui provoque le déplacement axial.
