A roll up door assembly for covering a door space comprising a rubber sheet having vertical side edge portions with a front lock strip secured to the front surface and a rear lock strip secured to the rear surface of each vertical side edge. The front and rear locking strips are staggered with respect to each other in the transverse direction of these strips. The sheet is coilable on a barrel mounted above the door. The staggered orientation of the lock strips assists in the tracking of the sheet during coiling on the barrel. A pair of vertically extending door guides each define a vertical slot oriented and sized to accept a respective vertical side edge portion for guided vertical movement therein. Each door guide assembly has a windbar attached thereto, positioned to narrow the opening of the slot such the narrowed opening has a smaller width than the total thickness of each side edge portion of the sheet. Tension spring assemblies bias the windbar with sufficient force to normally hold the vertical side edge portion within the slot while permitting the side edge portion to be released from the slot through the opening upon an impact to the sheet.
Un ensemble de porte-guillotine visant à couvrir l'espace de la porte, comportant une feuille de caoutchouc dont certains bords latéraux verticaux sont munis d'une bande de verrouillage avant fixée sur la surface avant et d'une bande de verrouillage arrière fixée sur la surface arrière de chaque bord latéral vertical. Les bandes de verrouillage avant et arrière sont décalées les unes par rapport aux autres en direction transversale. La feuille peut être enroulée autour d'un tube monté au-dessus de la porte. L'orientation en quinconce des bandes de verrouillage facilite le suivi de la feuille lors de son enroulement autour du tube. Deux guides de porte se dépliant verticalement définissent chacun une fente verticale orientée et dimensionnée de manière à accepter le bord latéral vertical correspondant afin de guider le mouvement vertical. Chaque guide de porte est muni d'une barre de renforcement, positionnée de manière à réduire l'ouverture de la fente de sorte qu'elle présente une largeur plus petite que l'épaisseur totale de chaque portion de bord latéral de la feuille. Les ressorts de tension dévient la barre de renforcement avec suffisamment de force pour maintenir normalement la portion des bords latéraux verticaux à l'intérieur de la fente tout en permettant à celle-ci d'être relâchée de la fente par l'ouverture en cas d'impact sur la feuille.
