Abstract of the Disclosure An oil control piston ring for location in a circumferential groove in a piston of an internal combustion engine, said ring comprising an arcuate body having a generally U-shaped cross-section with the legs of the U extending inwardly of said arcuate body and adapted to project inwardly of the groove and with the base of the U adapted to be located adjacent the cylinder wall, at least one scraper rim projecting outwardly from said peripheral wall, said scraper rim extending around said body and substantially parallel with the legs of said U, said scraper rim having a flat outer face, and said U-shaped body and said rim comprising a one- piece rolled steel strip.
