A filter bowl (8) is disclosed. The filter bowl (8) includes an elongated canister having an open end (16), a closed end and a wall having an exterior surface (26), the exterior surface (26) having a plurality of rolled threads (24). The exterior surface (26) includes an unthreaded portion (28) disposed between the open end (16) and the plurality of rolled threads (24). The filter bowl (8) is preferably made of steel and is produced in a process including the steps of: 1) deep drawing the elongated canister, and 2) rolling threads onto the exterior surface of the canister.

L'invention concerne une cuve de filtre (8) comportant une cartouche allongée présentant une extrémité ouverte (16), une extrémité fermée et une paroi munie d'une surface extérieure (26) dotée d'une pluralité de filets roulés (24). La surface extérieure (26) possède une portion non filetée (28) disposée entre l'extrémité ouverte (16) et la pluralité de filets roulés (24). La cuve de filtre (8) est de préférence réalisée en acier et produite lors d'un processus consistant premièrement à emboutir profond la cartouche allongée, et deuxièmement à rouler les filets sur la surface extérieure de cette dernière.
