ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A roller assembly for facilitating the removal and replacement of turning rolls in a pulp dryer and/or paper- making machine, comprises a frame supporting a pair of parallel, cylindrical bearing members arranged in side-by- side relationship, and a supporting roller resting on said bearing members so as to be rotatable thereon. The roller assembly is designed to fit under a turning roll, transversely thereof, so that as the turning roll is withdrawn or inserted in its axial direction, the supporting roller bears the weight of the turning roll.
