ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A roller bit for rock drilling, provided with a bit body the upper side of which is provided with means for coupling to a drilling string, and the lower side of which is provided with a number of stub axles on which toothed cutting elements are mounted so as to be freely rotatable. A locking ring for taper, cylindrical or the like bearing elements has a cylindrical surface capable of insertion into and fixing in a complementary cavity communicating with a race for bearing elements formed in the cutting element. The race is provided on the side which faces the bearing with a shoulder which axially locks the bearing elements and on the other end with a seating for a sprung washer which is connected to the stub axle. A recess formed in the locking ring and communicating with the shoulder, forms a lubricant reservoir, and the seating chamber for the washer formed in the locking ring communicates through at least one channel in the body of the bit with the mud supply channel of the drilling string, to supply mud to the annular gap between the locking ring and the body of the bit thus preventing drilling debris from reaching the sprung washer on the bearing.
