ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A roller blind in which the axially projecting studs of the roller on which a screen is wound, are guided in arcuate slots in brackets to enable said roller to be rotated and displaced towards and away from the window upon rotation of said roller, thereby enabling the screen to be located as close to the window as possible when the screen is in its active unrolled position. The roller is rotated by an electric motor through a worm and worm gear system and the housing of the electric motor is pivoted on one bracket with a certain play about the center of the arcuate slot 90 that the studs upon rotation roll along the lower edge of each slot.
