The invention relates to a method for the production of a roller brush, wherein, in a first method step, extrusion of a retainer profile (2) made from a plastic is carried out, which forms a strip brush (1) as intermediate product by the fitting (3) with bristles, and, in a further method step, the spiral winding of the strip brush (1) onto a winding pin (4) is carried out with gluing and/or welding of adjacent lateral surfaces (6, 7) of retainer profiles (2) to form a roller brush (5).
