A roller sear/hammer interface for a firearm. The sear (11) has a roller (17) rotatably mounted between two side plates (16) forming a portion of the sear body (14). As the trigger (13) is moved, a linkage (12) connecting the trigger (13) and sear (11) causes the sear (11) to pivot rearward such that the roller (17) engages a notched surface (22) formed in the hammer (21). This rolling action releases the hammer (21) to strike a firing pin (24) to fire a round of ammunition. When the trigger (13) is released, the sear roller (17) rolls downward into an engaged and locked position within the notch (22) formed in the hammer (21).

L'invention concerne une interface de gâchette/chien à rouleau destinée à une arme à feu. La gâchette (11) comprend un rouleau (17) monté rotatif entre deux plaques latérales (16) formant une partie du corps (14) de la gâchette. Au moment du déplacement de la détente (13), un lien (12) reliant la détente (13) et la gâchette (11) entraîne le pivotement de celle-ci (11) en arrière, de manière que le rouleau (17) vient en prise avec une surface à encoche (22) formée dans le chien (21). Cette action de roulement libère le chien (21) de manière à actionner un percuteur (24), aux fins de mise à feu d'une cartouche de munitions.
