ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A roller skate including a boot having a sole with toe and heel areas, the roller skate having two pairs of rollers, characterized in that: the sole of the boot, the central por- tion of which is free, comprises in the heel and toe area, res- pective attachments surfaces each sloping slightly upwardly, and toward one another, in a boot wearing position; two brackets, each having two rollers thereon and mounted in a plane at right angles thereto, are secured to the attachment surfaces; the brackets are supported rotatably upon the boot by means of resilient cushions at respective ends of the brackets so as to face each other, and are adapted to pivot, to a limited extent, in rigid guide elements, in arcuate guide holders, at the ends remote from each other. A skate including a boot having a sole with toe and heel areas characterized in that the sole of the boot, the central portion of which is free, comprises in the heel and toe area respective attachment surfaces each sloping slightly upwardly and toward one another, in a boot wearing position, a U-shaped longitudinally directed carrier, having a blade adapted to be attached selectively to attachment surfaces of the boot, the carrier comprising corresponding elevated attachment blocks at its respective ends, the blocks being adapted to be connected either directly, or through a resilient intermediate plate to the attachment surfaces.
