ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides an undercarriage for roller skates for a single wheel, comprising a mounting for a single wheel, an axle through the wheel, a stirrup which supports the axle on both sides of the wheel and which is formed to pass with clearance around the periphery of the wheel and which is pivotally connected at opposite ends via a pivot and an elastomeric block respectively to a frame affixed to the undercarriage, and wherein a line drawn between the pivot and the elastomeric block constituting a pivotal axis of the stirrup intersects the axle.
