A roller skating aid comprises two interrelated assemblies: a roller assembly to achieve stability and a pad assembly for breaking. The combination of said assemblies is attached to the lower end of an elongated shaft. The relative positions of these two assemblies can be adjusted to suit the requirements of the person using the skating aid.
